As a 35-year-old electrician born, raised, and living in Hannibal, Missouri, my passion for wood carving was born out of a simple desire to express my creativity.

My first carving was a chicken on a stick, a humble beginning that sparked my love for this medium. From there, I progressed to carving more complex designs, developing my skills and style over the course of 5-6 years. The rustic charm of my rural upbringing in Hannibal, the hometown of world-famous author Mark Twain and the setting for some of his most iconic novels, inspires many of my designs.

Using only hand tools such as knives, gouges, chisels, and mallets, I create unique pieces of art that blend rustic, whimsical, and fine art elements. Each carving is one of a kind, and I try not to carve the same thing twice.

Despite no formal training, I have honed my skills through countless hours of practice and studying how-to videos and books. I find carving to be therapeutic, and it has become a way for me to unwind and express my creativity.

I have a Facebook page, Instagram page, and Shopify store, where I share my creations with others. The joy it brings to my customers and fans is what motivates me to keep carving. My first carving of a chicken on a stick also served as inspiration for the rooster logo that represents my brand.
